Chelsea

Chelsea is an avid gamer and enjoys hanging out with her son and their bunnies at the parks nearby. She came to SYM through the YWCA as a stepping stone to starting over and is very happy to be here. At SYM, Chelsea assists with administrative tasks like data entry and is one of our Site Supervisor assistants.

Raven

“The thing that made me wanna join SYM is the community here that’s full of genuine people who want to be the change they want to see I love being amongst like-minded people heading towards the same communal goal I’m grateful to be able to contribute to SYM. When I’m not working I love to write as much as I can it’s my passion and I also love music I spend most of my days listening to music and visiting the record shops to buy as much of my favorite physical media as I can.” 

Tierney

“Hi, my name is Tierney! I am currently finishing up my degree in Social and Human Services. I hope to apply the hands-on skills I’ve learned in school—like active listening and motivational interviewing—to my internship here. My ultimate goal is to become a case manager for youth experiencing homelessness or who are at risk, so I am incredibly excited to shadow the case management team at SYM. I was drawn to SYM because I deeply connect with their mission and vision for supporting youth through difficult times. Additionally, as a Christian, SYM’s foundation of being "Motivated by God’s love for all people" truly resonates with me. When I am not working or interning, you can find me walking around Pike Place Market, watching the sunset at Pier 55, or hiking up Rattlesnake Ledge!”

Christian

Christian holds an undergrad degree in Economics and is currently pursuing his Master’s of Social Work at the University of Washington. As an intern at Street Youth Ministries, he hopes to bring a holistic, person-centered approach to supporting youth in their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.  Christian is passionate about fostering resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful connection. Outside of his work and studies, he enjoys working out, thrifting, and antiquing.
